Crux Subsurface, Inc. (Crux) is a geotechnical drilling company, merging innovation with experience to consistently provide accurate data and efficient, constructible solutions to projects of any size.

Our multidisciplinary team combines the expertise of structural and geotechnical engineers with experienced drillers, construction managers, geologists and quality management specialists.

History

Founded in 1998: Crux brings together innovative equipment, techniques, and personnel to provide geotechnical analysis, engineering design, drilling, and program management services on some of the most challenging infrastructure projects.
Our Roots: The company formed its roots in geotechnical exploration, providing superior core recovery in challenging formations and difficult-access locations.
Development: This experience enabled us to develop a deep understanding of diverse geologic formations, as well as the geo-structural implications of constructing in and around them and expand our service offerings to engineering and installing specialty foundation solutions.
Today: Today, Crux provides a wide variety of geotechnical, engineering construction, and program management services.

Meet Karen Dawe, our Project Controls and Estimating Manager! Karen started her career at Crux in 2004 immediately following obtaining her degree in Business Administration. She credits her time spent early on at Crux, as the Logistics Coordinator, for learning the culture and specifics of the industry we serve. Karen quickly transitioned to the role of Project Estimator and assisted with proposal development for geotechnical exploration and foundation construction projects. She now leads that department and oversees all project estimating for the company.
